Policy impact & regulatory impact assessment for government agencies and private companies (specializing in EU accession and legal harmonization)
|
We conduct assessment and evaluation projects in any Central and Eastern European country. The Central and Eastern European countries have committed themselves in different treaties to harmonize their policies, institutions and legal systems with the EU's accepted frameworks.
|
In these countries, the legal approximation includes a great amount of adjustment: transposing EU regulations into the national legal systems, known as "Acquis Communautaire".
Our consultants have wide experience in assessing the economic and social impacts of this approximation through business surveys and institutional interviews. Our studies describe and forecast the impacts of the new regulations and institutional reforms: measure the magnitude of the impacts and identify the stakeholders of the modifications.
We organize impact assessment projects, write studies and provide recommendations in the following policy fields:
-
Technical regulations, in particular with regards to conformity assessments of products. Impact assessment of the "New Approach" EU-directives (references: Lithuania, Croatia, Hungary).
-
Impact assessment of environmental protection regulations (references: Hungary).
-
Impact assessment of small and medium-size enterprise (SME) development policies, in particular for financing, credit provision of small businesses, consultancy, training and the development of small enterprises to become subcontractors (references: evaluations made on behalf of Hungary and the EU).
-
Impact assessment of regional policies, in particular for the relationships of regional policies and the various sector policies (references: Hungary).
-
Impact assessment of immigration policies, in particular for the institutionalization of overcoming illegal migration (references: international non-profit organizations).
